Strange Condition:
Pete Yorn, alt-rock rising star, went to my summer camp, Camp Na-Sho-Pa. I was a waiter with him.
I remember, vaguely, having conversations with him, but I don't know what about. If I remember him correctly, he seemed like a nice guy. I think he used to play guitar back then.
He had short hair then.
I also spoke to Heiner Muller, dead avant-garde German playwright. He guest-taught a class in college. That wasn't bad.
Joyce Carol Oates taught me fiction. She is unusual and a gifted eccentric, and as far as I know has no phone or email.
And I met pitcher Barry Zito, who's a cousin of a friend of mine. We all had noodles together before he was drafted and became famous.
And...Bruce Springsteen is my haircutter.
George Lucas delivers my mail every Tuesday.
I licked the hand of Christina Aguilera when she was talking soap opera trivia with me.
Walter Cronkite is my caddy when I golf in Temecula.

Okay, Bill and Nonny get scarier...

"Psst!
I'm a cat, an imaginary cat, Meow-Meow the Cat. I like making fun of people and read dictionaries in my spare time. Usually I only talk about people indirectly, but recently I have a burning desire to send and receive e-mails, since I'm an imaginary cat who can send and receive e-mails. Also, I"m trying to get ideas for the new book that I'm writing, Tales of Meow-Meow the Cat.
I have one best friend in all this world, and his name is Bill. You can read more about both of us in our two books.
Recently my girlfirend, Mie-Mie the Cat, and I broke up, but, we're back together again. You might say that we were made for each other. Hee hee hee!
Fortuitously,
Meow-Meow the Cat"
There are stories, people. Stories about cats.
Then see: http://www2.meow-meow.com/video-mania/ and watch the Evil Dragon movie.
Go ahead. Have fun. Wonder, "how long did that really take?" and, "What does Bill do for a living, exactly?"... and, "why do they have all those stuffed animals?"

"POSTAL 2" Karma Kills Like Never Before
Running With Scissors licenses MathEngine's "Karma" software to add to Epic's UNREAL technology for a religious game playing experience
Tucson, AZ - Declaring that Newton's Laws of Physics weren't twisted enough as is, Running With Scissors announced that POSTAL 2 would utilize Karma, the behavioral physics' software by MathEngine, Inc.
"Talk about double-barreled action, we're merging MathEngine's Karma physics with Epic Game's UNREAL technology," said loose canon Vince Desi, Running With Scissors' frighteningly enthusiastic CEO. "Trust me, this Karma stuff is the SHIT! You're gonna need clean underwear after you see how Karma physics helps us to kill off characters and knock off objects with an ebb and flow never before seen in a video game!"
"That Newton dude only had it half-right," bemused the mad CEO. "As a kid in school, I was always confused. 'What goes up must come down,' but hey, what about 'what goes in must come out?' The MathEngine guys got it all figured out. Gravity rocks with Karma! POSTAL 2 is a 3D extravaganza of excess! From an UNREAL technology base, to Karma's character and object behavioral physics - not to mention our own custom coding features that put more bump in the bloody grind - WHOA! Start saving money to buy new underwear now!"
Mike Gamble, Business Development Director for MathEngine, admitted, "When we were approached by Running With Scissors , they wanted character motion and object movement that was life-like, efficient and stable, I think I should have told them that we could only provide them with two out of three, because 'stable' these guys aren't." (Check out a demo at: http://www.mathengine.com)
"In POSTAL 2, the shit is hitting the fan," roared Desi. "Dead is dead, but DYING is a religious experience thanks to Karma! And when a 55-gallon gasoline drum is rolling towards you, it doesn't just roll; it bounces and skips down the hill just like in real life. Listen up you spiritual types out there: Karma can kill, so behave yourselves and get on your knees and start praying..."

OK... Star Wars.
I went to pick up my CD. Blond-haired man. Had two covers. Me and him. Scared.
Toys R Us.
A line. A jedi woman pouring drinks. Stormtrooper employees.
Hundreds of people rooting through boxes like pigs. Toys like feces.
Employees dropping boxes across the floor, smelly people poring through them. Peeling boxes out of their padding.
Hundreds of dollars a purchase.
Boxes all over the floor.
I bought four figures. And went home.
It was sad, dirty, a bit disgusting. It felt necessary like a root canal or a bathroom wiping of the bottom.
I simultaneously enjoyed the moment and wanted these people away from me.
I feel like I've broken up with someone.

Ever hear of Progress Quest?
http://www.progressquest.com
It's utterly absurd. Watch bars fill up. Be a Robot Monk. A Demicanadian. A talking pony. Then deliver letters and collect mini giant pompadours, eel sashimi and kobald penises! I'm not making this up. Even better, you don't do anything. It's an awesome hit of a game. "Play" it right away, and enjoy!

Tired. Working on an outline, pumped full of coffee. Using Airport wireless networking. Very nice. But loses range. Extremely excited about Star Wars Attack of the Clones soundtrack. I am three steps away from Harry Knowles. God help me.
PS, I wonder who is meant to read this. Also, watched the NFL draft. Think I'm a honkin' dork yet?
