I'm in Variety!

Holy Cow. I just got back from Sweden, and spent four days hanging out with Peter Dinklage, who is an amazing person. He's attached to play the lead role in the screenplay I've written, The Dwarf - adapted from the book by Par Lagerkvist. Check out the Variety article below:

Dinklage returns in 'Dwarf'
'Station Agent' star to enter Par Lagerkvist adaptation

STOCKHOLM -- Peter Dinklage is attached to star in "The Dwarf," an adaptation of the 1944 novel by Swedish Nobel Prize winner Par Lagerkvist.

Dinklage and producer Marc Rosen spent the past few days in Sweden to discuss the project with potential financing partners. Rosen wants to set it up as a European co-production between Scandinavia, Germany and Italy, where the story is set.

The story takes place at a prince's court during the Italian Renaissance, where Piccolino, a dwarf consumed by anger and hatred, schemes and plots for his noble master.

Rosen screened Dinklage starrer "The Station Agent" for Swedish distribs and pitched the script of "The Dwarf," written by Scott Stein.

"The response was great," said Rosen, who confirmed he has offered the script to Swedish helmer Lasse Hallstrom. Hallstrom and Rosen also are developing another project, "Nike."

Rosen is a senior exec at David Heyman's Heyday Films, but he is developing "The Dwarf" outside that company with January Studios, although Heyday may yet become involved.

Lagerkvist's son, Bengt Lagerkvist, has approved the latest version of the script. It will be only the second film from the works of Lagerkvist, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1951, after "Barabbas," the Anthony Quinn starrer produced by Dino de Laurentiis in 1962.
