Follow-up: the real problem of why Web Journals Suck is because most people shouldn't be writing. Big surprise, folks.
Okay, I just read a blog that said that blogs need to be journals of better writing quality. Screw that. OK, I can do whatever I want here. The joy of a blog is not journalism. Believe me, we get enough of that. We need quick authenticity. I'd rather see horribly written psychologically revealing spew than "I think I'm smart" pieces. Good lord, what a waste of time. 80-page articles about The Meaning of That Cool Movie I Just Saw, or My Thought On Global War. You know how many dumb people there are out there? We should all just be dumb, or instinctual, and be smart when we're paid to be, or when we need to be. How's that?

I'm keeping these suckers short.
I hope I start a flamewar firestorm or something. Anyone angry yet?
Anyone even reading?
I may not post for a while.
I'm going wireless- getting an Airport card installed on my Powerbook G4. The Apple Store has to work out its kinks, methinks...they claimed last night they couldn't install my card which they make on my machine which they make...now they're doing it...for free. Don't ask.
In other news, the NFL draft tomorrow- God Help Me, I like it. I also like watching spiders plan webs. You know, pre-web-building. New York Jet rumors: none really, I think expect the unexpected. We'll see. Signed Matt Turk, a decent deal. Wish they'd gotten Grady Jackson, but you never know, he may be a real bust in New Orleans.
Like Ricky Williams will be with the Dolphins- wait and see.
So I just heard that Dick Cheney was visiting Long Island. "the vice president is here," my dad says after coming back from CompUSA. "The vice president of what?" I counter. "The vice president of the United States, and he's staying at the Marriott."
"Isn't he dead?"
"Dead?"
I realize that the Marriott is across the street from Computer Associates Headquarters.
"It's his android, dad. They're installing Cheney 2.0."
Then he tells me he hears the crack of thunder.
