Hundreds and thousands of clicking, whirring, buzzing, writhing and dying cicadas filled the damp atmosphere of Princeton University over Memorial Day weekend, where I was celebrating my unexciting 8th reunion. Cicada attack! They apparently re-emerge every 17 years, meaning that these are the grandchildren of the famous Bob Dylan song.
Their kids will emerge on the weekend of my 25th reunion. Yikes!

NYC Water Not Safe For Kosher Folk: Thank the Copepods!
Filters are now being installed for glatt-kosher folk in NYC, due to the discovery of copepods in the water system. Not that they're a bad thing. They're just not good for those who can't religiously eat crustaceans.
